Super Easy Morning Egg Bake
This quick and easy recipe is delicious and uses a half dozen of your fresh eggs. You can customer the herbs to use whatever you have in your garden or on hand. Fresh, sliced greens work well too.
½ cup or more grated cheddar cheese or dairy free cheese
1 tablespoons butter, or non dairy butter, cut into small pieces
1⁄2 cup cream or dairy free half and half
2 tablespoons or more of chopped herbs – we used chives and chervil
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
6 fresh eggs, beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drop butter pieces into a 9×9 inch square baking dish, then sprinkle with cheese.
Mix cream or half and half with herbs, salt, and pepper, then carefully pour mixture over the cheese.
Carefully pour the beaten eggs on top.
Bake 35 minutes.
The eggs will puff up a lot. If the cooking was uneven at all, you can pop the dish under the broiler for 2 minutes to complete the cooking.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
